The Lutheran Writers Project

The Lutheran Writers Project provides resources and gathering opportunities for writers, readers, and institutions -- including churches, schools, colleges, and churchwide organizations.

Our mission is:
  • To engage and renew the imagination of the Lutheran church--its traditions, its future, its missions, and its culture;
  • To serve those who create, read, and publish literature that strives for spiritual and literary depth;
  • To recognize and celebrate the literary gifts of writers who engage the Lutheran imagination;
  • To provide information resources enabling dialogue among writers, readers, teachers, pastors, and institutions.
